The Oldest Football Club of American
Cardinals are the ancient American football associations, which was first formed in the year 1989 and it was then renamed as Morgan Athletic Club, situated in Chicago. This group was finally called as Racine Normals, which was later changed to Racine of Cardinals. They started playing in dark red uniform, which was taken from the college team football players, at Chicago Maroons.
In the year 1920, the Cardinals officially become the members of NFL and then they renamed their names as Chicago Cardinals. Periodically of the duration II world war, in 1944, the Cardinals compound momentarily with Pittsburgh Steelers, where they were referred as Card-Pitt teams. In 1960, the Cardinals government moved to St.Louis Missouri and became the St. Louis Cardinals.
They produced the name "The Big Red" due to a sequence of achievement in 1970s. After failing to acquire a stadium for football in St. Louis, Cardinals moved to Phoenix in 1988 where they were named as Phoenix Cardinals. In the year 1994, they were officially recognized as Arizona Cardinals.
Nowadays, the Cardinals are located in Glendale Arizona, which is the outskirt of Phoenix and they became members of the nationwide Football meeting, in Western Division of the National Football League (NFL). In 2006, the entire home game of Cardinals was played in the University of Phoenix Stadium situated in Glendale, instead of playing at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, which was the place they played for nearly 17 years.
Cardinal was one among the six NFL teams that made the Super Bowl. The other team includes The Detroit Lions, The New Orleans Saints, The Cleveland Browns, and The Jacksonville Jaguars. The team's NFL championship game was held in 1947, two decades prior to the initiation of the Super Bowl.
